Lead Pastor

Pastor Robert & Dianne Wengerd

Greetings:

Life has been an interesting journey.  Earning a bachelor’s degree in
business administration and having worked in a bank for a number
of years, I assumed that my life-time career would be in the business
world.  I, however, experienced a growing desire to serve the Lord
and subsequently received a clear call to pastoral ministry.

I served a Mennonite church in central Ohio for over ten years and
have now been here for over 28 years. Along the way I also had
opportunities to serve the broader church in a number of ways. It’s
been a delight to experience God at work time and time again.

I’ve been happily married for over forty-five years. My wife, Dianne,
taught school and mentored newer teachers before retiring in 2019.
She now enjoys teaching a women’s Sunday School class and
serving as the worship team leader in church. And, of course,
she values opportunities to interact with our two granddaughters.

Whether you’ve been a follower of Jesus for many years or whether
you are just now exploring the Christian faith, I’m sure that you
too can grow spiritually in the context of this congregation. Please
know that visitors are expected in our services and that you are
welcome!

Associate Pastor

Pastor Adam Shank with family

Hello, my name Adam Shank and I am blessed to serve North Lima Mennonite Church
as an associate pastor.  My primary role is preaching and prayer.  One of my greatest joys
in ministry is to see people changed by God’s life-giving Word.

I am also blessed to work with an International Bible Translation Organization as a translation
consultant.  I assist multiple translation teams by helping them make their translations of God’s
Word more accurate, clear, and natural.  One of my greatest joys as a translation consultant is to
make God’s Word available to people who have never had the opportunity to hear or read the
Bible for themselves.

I’ve also been blessed with the opportunity to receive a B.A. in Biblical Studies, study graduate
level linguistics, and receive a Master of Theological Studies.  I’ve also had the unique opportunity
to study 3 different languages on three different continents: French in France, Hebrew in Israel,
and an African language in Africa!

When I’m not engaged in pastoral or translational work, I’m usually doing something with my
family like playing on our farm, tending our cattle, chickens, and dogs, building or fixing
something, hunting or fishing, or simply enjoying God’s great outdoors.
